My name is Vem. I create, develop and direct content for TV, Film and the Comic Book worlds.

TV

I most recently teamed up with Ben Silverman on my new "Wheelin & Dealin" series, on which I serve as creator and executive producer. “Wheelin & Dealin” has sold straight to series, but it’s all hush hush for the time being, so the network will be disclosed at a later date.                

 

I recently teamed up with Kinetic Content on a new series called "Harvest", which I also created and am executive producer on. “Harvest” sold straight to series, but once again hush hush, so network will be disclosed later.

I am currently working on various new TV projects with more great TV and Film production companies in partnership with my production company, Sweatshop Media.  

FILM

In 2010, I released a preview issue of my comic book "HollyVOOD", which is based on a feature screenplay of the same name. Although released independently to a very few outlets, HollyVOOD preview issue #1 garnered much critical acclaim and praise, and became an independent best seller both in print, and as a iPhone digital download. My production company will be releasing the final draft of the screenplay "HollyVOOD" at the end of February 2011.

MAKING MY BONES

I made my bones as a music video and short form director. I've directed over a hundred videos for budgets ranging between $5 and $500,000. The no budget clips forced me to wear numerous hats, and to hone my craft as a writer, director, producer, editor, photographer, and designer.

My music video credits include John Mayer, Sarah Mclaughlin, O.A.R., Five for fighting, DMX, Tyrese, The Click Five, Daniel Powter, The X-ecutioners, Pharrell and Master P.

   

- "The Click Five" video named "Entertainment Weekly top ten video of the year".

   

- "Five For Fighting" video featured on "the Best of 2006" list on Vh1.

   

- Sixt Rent A Car commercial won bronze medal at Berlin's Art Director's club.

   

- Co-Nominated for a MTV VMA in both directing (breakthrough video of the year) and editing (best editing).

   

- Co-Nominated for a Source Magazine award for Video of the Year.

   

- Sixt Rent a Car commercial nominated for a 2008 New York International advertising award.

   

- Sixt Rent a Car commercial nominated for a D & AD award.

    

- Short film screened at various international film festivals.
